"A jewelry discovery app that evolved from concept to product, where every interaction was crafted to reflect the luxury and tactility of what it showcased."

The Brief

Design a jewelry e-commerce app experience that communicates luxury, trust, and delight, for customers who want to feel the piece before they buy it.

Starting from zero, I built the complete product UX: category architecture, product visualisation system, the jewellery-box unboxing interaction, and the Play Store presence, across every touchpoint.

Unboxing as UX Principle

The jewellery box mockup was central to the experience, making digital jewellery feel tactile and gift-worthy through the interface itself.

Product Visualisation

High-fidelity mockups with careful lighting and material treatment ensured jewellery translated beautifully to screen, maintaining the luxury feel.

Play Store & Launch Identity

Designed the complete Play Store presence including the thumbnail, app icon, and promotional imagery, creating a cohesive launch narrative.

What I Learned

Tactility can be designed. You cannot feel jewellery through a screen, but you can design the interface to evoke the feeling of holding it. Every shadow, every animation matters.

The product became the brand. When AVM evolved into Capsole, the interface had to carry the rebrand seamlessly, which is only possible when the design system is robust from day one.
